25 best schools for business administration in the German speaking area – Handelsblatt survey
In the recently published ranking for the strongest academic researchers in the field of business administration of the German newspaper Handelsblatt the Mannheim Business School (school and programmes on mba.info) is at first place in terms of research output, with strong fields in marketing and banking management. The universities of Vienna, St. Gallen in Switzerland (mba.info), Mannheim and Zurich are ranked highest of the 25 top schools of business administration. Since 2006, the Handelsblatt publishes rankings of universities for economics, from now on regularly also for business administration. For the rankings, Handelsblatt commissioned the Thurgauer Wirtschaftsinstitut (TWI) at the University of Constance to compare the research performance of the approximately 2,100 business professors in Germany, Austria and Switzerland based on the number of published articles in 761 international economic journals. To reflect their different quality, the journals were assigned weighting factors. Also the journalistic type of an article was valued. |
